ROOT Architecture is playing a pivotal role in Eskom’s strategic initiative to prolong the lifespan of the Koeberg Nuclear Power Station by developing the Ankerlig 3 power station. This expansion is crucial not only to bolster the main nuclear facility but also to meet the seismic action requirements mandated by the International Atomic Energy Agency.

In collaboration with Lesedi Nuclear Services, where ROOT Architecture serves as the lead consultant, we are spearheading the architectural dimension of this significant project.

The scope involves multiple buildings of varying sizes strategically designed to support the primary functions of the facility.

With a project of substantial magnitude, reaching approximately R1.3 Billion, the architectural component is a vital segment accounting for around R80Million. As the Architecture lead, ROOT Architecture employs REVIT, fostering seamless coordination among diverse disciplines engaged in this intricate project.
